![]() I guess Ironskin Brew will just work like Shield Block/Savage Defense/Shield of the Righteous/Shuffle and add its duration on top of existing buffs if you use it multiple times in a row, so you won't have to worry too much about optimising the timing for chaining it. And there is no third Lv100 talent right now ). Makes purifying much more of a strategic decision than it is now (you either have near endless chi from Serenity or purify passively through ChiEx. I like the Ironskin/Purifying Brew change. Obviously all subject to the change (hopefully a lot of it). Unless you're able to squeeze in and/or replace another external or whatever with the talent its a pretty useless talent in all likelihood.įlat stagger I guess fills the role of being a benefit without adding any complexity. You'll 99.9% of the time have set spots where you use Fort Brew on an encounter anyway. None of these are really gameplay changing and don't allow you to add much depth.ġ5% dodge is nice, but you probably won't really notice (if you think rng streaks are bad with an additional 45%.). ![]() You get a mini elusive brew for purifying (the saving grace is that it adds value to Purifying which I'm worrying it may not have enough atm, reducing the cooldown of Fortifying Brew like your Ironskin/Purify charges, and a flat stagger buff. Level 90 is the same except Xuen is reskinned to Niuzao and Chi Torpedo is removed and is replaced with an entirely passive proc that will at best affect nothing of your gameplay and at worst be obnoxious (read as moving mobs into the affected area). Level 75 is still the way it is (and its fine that way imo). Level 60 just took away Charging Ox Wave and made Dave a talent. You've got celerity for brews, a Chi Brew cooldown for Brews, and a passive that'll make you focus more on pooling. Level 30 is our new 15 with Momentum being renamed Chi Torpedo. Chi Burst/Wave may be our only ranged threat grab with Dizzying Haze MIA. Like the tier as it delivers the "you can have more buttons if you want". Wonder how effective it would be to try and keep that up on multiple mobs where possible. Level 15 is our current 30 now with the Eye of the Tiger. The balancing of the two brews sharing the charge resource could be interesting so long as Purifying while actively tanking is valuable enough to just eating stagger damage and having higher uptime with Ironskin isn't the de facto way to go. The mastery is blah to me, but I'm not going to complain too heavily on it because I'm actually pretty okay with how Ironskin and Purify will work out even if I think there's some tweaking to be done to it. I like the Blackout Strike and Breath of Fire split if for no other reason than it gives us a potential use of Breath of Fire (basically something that hasn't existed since ever). Yeah pretty sure whatever we had is no longer or at least about to go through some somewhat heavy iteration. If it is possible to keep a nice stagger flow throughout an encounter then I think we can be very consistent and powerful tanks without having to rely on a 30 sec cd absorb. So every 6-12 seconds we will take a couple of almost completely unmitigated attacks. My only current fear is that the gaps between Brew up time will make us as resilient as rag dolls. I am sorta sad to see us loose buttons because it just feels like a simplification of the spec, but the new setup looks like it could be a fun balance dodge and stagger. ![]() Expel Harm was useful but as a tank I don't want to have self healing so much as taking damage other people can't. Guard wasn't particularly intuitive, and Elusive Brew was more or less baked into a new mastery. I didn't like the changes at first but after some time considering our new playstyle I think it is better. Our lvl 45 talent tier is for increased Brew availability. Now the basic changes considered, we will now have more of a shield block like rotation with rolling Ironskin Brews and Purifying. The BrM Artifact talents aren't available as of right now so we can't compare very well with the other tank specs fairly yet however our Talent Calculator is up and our lvl 45 & 100 tiers are important for rotation. Keg Smash and Tiger Palm are similar but with the modification to reduce the recharge time of your Brew charges by 4 sec & 1 sec respectively. It increases stagger by an additional 60% for 6 seconds & shares a charges with Purifying Brew. OT: Apparently Paladins may loose this setup in Legion. (wowhead Legion Spell Changes Blog)īlackout Kick shares a CD with Breath of Fire currently, similar to Paladin's Crusader Strike=Single Target, Hammer of the Righteous=Multi-Target. Chi is no longer a resource for BrM, only energy. ![]() So Jab, Guard, Elusive Brew, Expel Harm, Leer of the Ox, Zen Sphere(Talent), and Nimble Brew have been removed (I skipped a couple, just focusing on spells for BrM).
